Violence Against Women Online Resources (VAWOR) is a collaborative project between the Minnesota Center Against Violence and Abuse (MINCAVA), a center within the School of Social Work at the University of Minnesota and the U.S.Department of Justice's Office on Violence Against Women. It is designed to operate as an information dissemination tool to provide resources to the general public, researchers, criminal justice practitioners, advocates, and social service professionals with the latest in research and promising practices regarding issues on violence against women.
The materials on this site were developed by organizations with expertise in violence against women who provide technical assistance for grantees funded through the Office on Violence Against Women.

In-Briefs - A series of brief research, policy, or best practice documents on violence against women. Working with national experts, VAWOR staff develops short documents that provide concise information on new research, best practices, emerging policies and other issues of interest to policymakers and practitioners nationwide. All In-Brief documents are published in print and are included in the VAWOR online library.
VAWOR Online Library - The Online Library makes resources such as training curricula, research articles, and best practices guidelines freely available to OVW staff, TA Providers, grantees, criminal justice professionals, state coalitions, tribal coalitions, victim advocacy groups and the general public. It also highlights and showcases specific products relevant to current issues and concerns.
Online Technical Assistance (TA) Calendar and Directory - The online TA calendar offers OVW staff, TA Providers, and grantees the ability to easily search for and view TA Provider events for which they are eligible to attend. The online technical assistance provider directory allows OVW staff, TA Providers and grantees the ability to find current organizational profiles, contact information, and descriptions of the OVW technical assistance the project offers.
Rapid-Response - The rapid-response project allows OVW staff to respond more effectively to media and policymaker requests for information about newly emerging issues and research, often related to key national news stories on violence against women.
